Avenbury Lakes was built as a conservation development which requires that a minimum of 40 percent of the community must be dedicated to open spaces. More than 48 percent of the 146 acres comprising Avenbury Lakes is dedicated to wetlands, lakes, walking trails and green areas. There are 352 ranch style homes that were built between 1996 – 2006.

5/24 – PASSINGS

5/22 – FITNESS CENTER UPDATE – Members of the Board and our Community Manager met with an outside vendor last week to discuss the situation. The situation relates to serious safety issues surrounding mold requiring special safety considerations regarding resident exposure. The vendor did an initial investigation and needs to return to do further investigation. We also have the roofing vendor who just completed work on our Lodge roof returning to give us a report of the roof area where the Indoor pool roof meets the shingle roof of the Lodge. Until these inspections are completed, we do not have a solid date when the fitness room will reopen. Once we have a firm date we will post it on the website and send out an email blast.

5/20 – OUTDOOR POOL
 – Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Outdoor Pool will not be opening this weekend. We look forward to the pool grand opening in mid-June and will keep everyone apprised of any updates. We thank you for your patience and understanding during the pool restoration project.

5/19 – COMMUNITY FUND RAFFLE – The Community Fund will continue to sell 50/50 raffle tickets EVERY WEDNESDAY, 10 – NOON AT THE LODGE . Ticket prices are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20 if you would like a bonus chance to win. Three winners of up to $600 will be drawn at our first Cookout and Summer Concert on June 29th. Winners need not be present; but come for the great hot dogs and music. If you can’t get to the lodge to buy tickets, call Mary Lou Gross – 440-785-7442 or Jeanne Moser – 440-376-8077. 5/22- DONATIONS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCE SERVICES –  CRS in Avon Lake is in need of food items, snack items, cleaning supplies, and toiletries. They are currently in need of jelly/jam (plastic jars please), canned fruit, canned pasta, shells & cheese, snacks and Clorox wipes. There are collection boxes in the Lodge Library. RULES RELATED TO FAMILY MEMBERS & GUESTS – Avenbury Lakes Rules & Regulations state that if family members or guests want to use any of our facilities that the resident must be present. This includes, but is not limited to fishing in our ponds/wetlands, indoor/outdoor pools & spa, bocce ball court, putting green area, tennis/pickleball court and equipment, fitness room, game room/library in Lodge, etc.

SPA UPDATE –  The spa is open but the jets are not working. Please don’t turn them on until we have new parts..  

ROOF REPLACEMENT – The roof replacement project on Southampton is complete!  All new roofs only have a one-year warranty. The vendor will no longer be offering courtesy repairs for roof tops completed more than 12 months ago.
