Avenbury Lakes was built as a conservation development which requires that a minimum of 40 percent of the community must be dedicated to open spaces. More than 48 percent of the 146 acres comprising Avenbury Lakes is dedicated to wetlands, lakes, walking trails and green areas. There are 352 ranch style homes that were built between 1996 – 2006.

5/9 – GYM CLOSING – We are CLOSING the gym in the Lodge temporarily to investigate a leak. The gym will reopen once it is cleared for safety. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will keep you updated.

5/1 – COMMUNITY FUND RAFFLE – For the month of May you will be able to buy 50/50 raffle tickets from the Community Fund every Wednesday from 10 am and Noon, OR, you can order tickets by phone, and we will deliver your tickets to you. Call:  Mary Lou Gross 440-785-7442 or Jeanne Moser 440-376-8077.  Tickets are 1 for $5, or 5 for $20. Three winning tickets will be drawn at our first summer Cook Out / Concert on June 29. Winners need not attend. This raffle benefits the Community Fund, which has provided the Big Screen TV in the All Purpose Room and the smaller TVs in the Exercise Room, the Polywood rockers and tables at the lodge and the bistro tables at the pool deck. The CF also paid for the landscaping at the lodge and the paver garden, which should be blossoming with a little help from the sun. Thank you for supporting the Community Fund. 

5/1 – MULCH – Mulching is ongoing, weather permitted. Don’t clean the outside of your windows yet and be sure to keep your windows and doors closed. 

5/1- DONATIONS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCE SERVICES –  CRS in Avon Lake is in need of food items, snack items, cleaning supplies, and toiletries. They are currently in need of jelly/jam (plastic jars please) and all types of toiletries, including shampoo, deodorant (men’s and women’s), toothpaste and toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, etc. There are collection boxes in the Lodge Library. RULES RELATED TO FAMILY MEMBERS & GUESTS – Avenbury Lakes Rules & Regulations state that if family members or guests want to use any of our facilities that the resident must be present. This includes, but is not limited to fishing in our ponds/wetlands, indoor/outdoor pools & spa, bocce ball court, putting green area, tennis/pickleball court and equipment, fitness room, game room/library in Lodge, etc.

SPA UPDATE –  The spa is open but the jets are not working. Please don’t turn them on until we have new parts..  

ROOF REPLACEMENT – The roof replacement project on Southampton is complete!  All new roofs only have a one-year warranty. The vendor will no longer be offering courtesy repairs for roof tops completed more than 12 months ago.
