AVENBURY’S WILD FLOWERS
WILD FLOWER WILDFLOWER BLOOMING CHART

Avenbury Lakes is a conservation community created in the prairie design. We are fortunate to have a wide variety of wildflowers throughout our community e.g. in the wetlands, on the hillsides and the wooded areas around our homes. Many different wildflowers have been identified so far. Below is a list of the wildflowers that can be found along with write ups provided by Margo Hirth. Identifying characteristics and some uses that our ancestors found helpful are included, but not recommend for today’s home remedies.  If on your walk you find a wildflower that is not listed please report your find to Margo Hirth. It will be added to the list.  Click on a plant picture to see Margo’s write ups.
