MISSION STATEMENT

The committee serves as a cost effective resource to assist the Avenbury Lakes Home Owners Association Board and Property Manager in maintaining the common buildings and grounds throughout our community.  The committee (acting in an advisory capacity) monitors, evaluates and where possible performs minor repairs on elements of the common buildings and grounds owned by the Association. This includes the Lodge and Business Office, indoor & outdoor pools, lakes, wetlands, roost & gazebo, wood bridges & walkways, docks, boats, tennis court, asphalt streets, RV/garden and landscape areas.

THE COMMITTEE IS RESPONSIBLE:

1.To prepare a monthly repairs and safety report of all common buildings and grounds with regards to wear and tear, life-safety equipment and recommend any additional repairs or improvements.
2.To advise the Property Manager in evaluating and monitoring, as needed, any outside contractors.
3.To maintain an inventory of all art, furnishings, and equipment in the Lodge & Business Office.
4.To perform where possible minor maintenance and repairs.
5.To clean and maintain the indoor pool and deck area.

THE BOARD LIAISION MEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE:

1.To keep the Buildings & Grounds Committee informed of current outside contracts and contractors.
2.To relay the monthly repairs and safety report to the Board and Property Manager.

BUILDINGS & GROUNDS MAINTENANCE REQUESTS

The Avenbury Lakes request for Maintenance Work can be submitted using either a PRINTED FORM or using the ONLINE FORM. It can be used to address the needs around your home or to point out issues that need care around the Lodge, Pools or other common areas.  If you have a concern fill out either form and then submit it to the Avenbury Lakes Business Office.

LOCK BOX PROGRAM
The Avon Fire Department offers a program where they will install a lock box on the outside of your home which would contain a key to your house.  This would allow the Fire Department to get into your house without breaking a window or door in case of an emergency.  Only the Fire Department would have access to the lock box.  If you are interested in this program, you can fill out an application at the Avon Senior Center. The cost is $25.00. Please contact the Avon Senior Center at 934-2417 if you have any questions.
